Notes for Judges

_DEBATE Judges, please report to Canfield Village Middle School in the morning for prelims. Then, once prelim rounds conclude, report to Canfield High School in the Cafeteria for the Final Round postings.

_ALL JUDGES, there will be final rounds at this tournament for all events, Speech, Debate, and Congress. In all final rounds there will be multiple judges in the room. Please do not begin the final round until all judges have arrived.

_ALL JUDGES, after each round concludes, it is important that rankings are submitted ASAP to allow tournament staff to continue blasting and calculating the next rounds. You can continue to write comments throughout the day, but it is important to have the scores for the tournament to remain on schedule.

_DEBATE Judges, while you can also continue to edit comments throughout the day, the one comment that does need to be written when you submit your rankings is the Reason for Decision section of your ballot. It should be structure somewhere along the lines in 1-2 sentences of, "The AFF wins the round because....." or "The NEG wins the round because....." or it can be structured to state why the losing side lost the round.

_SPEECH Judges, in your comments please make sure you are including at least one thing the student did well on and at least one thing the student needs to improve on. Comments do not have to finalized or completed when you go to submit your rankings, but it's something to keep in mind when you go to write them.
