Notes for Judges
- _Breakfast items such as bagels, donuts, and coffee will be available in the morning
_Lunch will be free for all judges and will include Giant Eagle catering
_When you receive a ballot on Tabroom.com, press the “Acknowledge Ballot” button immediately. This will let the Tabroom staff know that you saw your ballot and have a round to judge.
_Go to your room as soon as possible.
_Evaluate the numerous criteria that makes for a successful speech - pacing, tone, inflection, body language, facial expression and movement, quality of selection or writing, etc. Offer positives and negatives on their performance.
_Rank students and submit your ballot in a timely manner. The speaker ranked “1” is the best speaker in the round.
_You DO NOT need to type all of your feedback before submitting your ballot. You can go back and edit your feedback later in the day.
_You should not disclose your decision to the speakers and you should not offer oral critiques during the round.
